Things I used to forget before I had a place to write them down...etc.
2000
From Et cetera
The year 2000 was a monumental year in recorded human history. I, on the other hand, played darts and watched Channel 4 so I could see all the digits change simultaneously.
I was going to tape it, but I forgot or something. Either way, technology has cheapened the once-authoritative image of Channel 4 in my mind as the be-all, end-all answer to what EXACT time and day it is. I mean, now I could just fake the video if I wanted to. (Although, I've never heard of anyone who records and produces a whole video digitally just to convert it to VHS for the blank-tape effect.)
